Abel's faith wasn't about receiving from God, but about giving to God with the right heart. His acceptable sacrifice teaches us that true faith demonstrates itself through three key offerings: our worship, our obedience, and our first and best. Worship means having a grateful heart that ascribes glory to God's name, bringing us into His presence and taking our focus off problems. Obedience requires following God's Word even when it doesn't make sense, trusting His direction over our understanding. Giving our first and best requires faith because it means trusting God to provide for what remains after we've honored Him first.
